How does YeeCall work

YeeCall's features including voice call, video call, instant messaging, etc. only consume data, (approximately 300KB per minute for voice call). Video call consumes more data hence it is recommended to use video call only with WIFI or with a sufficicient data plan.

Privacy & Security

Your private information WON’T be divulged or used by YeeCall under any circumstances. (YeeCall accesses Contacts only for finding and auto-matching your YeeCall friend. We won’t store or retain any Contacts data)

How to add friends/a friend

There are three ways to add friends
  • 1.Add from Contacts

    Grant YeeCall permission to your Contacts and Yeecall will automatically recognise friends who have already joined YeeCall.

    You can also click “Friends- Add Friends-System Contacts” to add friends who already joined YeeCall (will be marked) or invite friends from your contacts.

  • 2.To search friends via mobile phone number or YeeCall ID

    Click “Friends- Add friends-Search”

    Insert mobile phone number (preferably with country code before the number) or YeeCall ID to find your friends.

  • 3.Invite via Facebook, Whatsapp, wechat or QQ.

    Click “Friends- Add friends”

    Click Faebook, Whatsapp, wechat or QQ to see the friends list. Pick the friends you want to invite from the list and send an invitation.

How to make a call?

You can make a voice call, video call and group call via YeeCall.

  • Voice call

    Click the ‘Friends’ tab from the menu bar.

    Find the person you want to call.

    Click to go to his/her profile page.

    Click ‘Free Call’ button to start the voice call.

  • Video Call

    Click ‘Video’ during the voice call to switch to Video Call mode

  • Group Call:

    1. Create a group. (How to create a group? Click ‘Groups’ on the menu bar -> Click ‘Create New Group’-> Pick friends from the contact list -> Click ‘Confirm’ and enter the group name. Your group is created.

    2. Pick the group you want to call from the list. Click the ‘Calling’ button at the bottom to start a call.

Cannot hear the voice when dialing

The app doesn't have permission to access microphone, Please allow access to the Microphone by the following steps:

【iOS】

  • 1. Go Back to mobile desktop. Open ‘Settings’
  • 2. Click ‘Privacy’
  • 3. Open ‘Microphone’
  • 4. Turn on the button for YeeCall

【android】

The app doesn't have permission to access microphone. Please allow access to the microphone by the following steps:

  • 1.Go back to the mobile desktop.
  • 2.Open ‘Security Center’
  • 3.Open ‘Permission Management’
  • 4.Turn on the microphone permission for YeeCall. (It’s shown as ‘Recording permission’ on certain Android systems and some third party apps.)

Cannot receive the notifications of the calls and messages

The app doesn't have permission to access the notifications of the calls and messages. Please turn on Notifications by the following steps:

【iOS】

  • 1. Go back to the mobile desktop. Open ‘Settings’
  • 2. Click ‘Notifications’
  • 3. Find and Click YeeCall
  • 4. Turn on the button to allow the ‘Notification’, ‘Sounds’, ‘Badge App Icon’, ‘Show on Lock Screen’, based on your needs. It is recommended to set your alert style to be “Banners”

Cannot see my image in the video call

The app doesn't have permission to access camera. Please allow access to the camera by the following steps:

  • 1. Go back to the mobile desktop. Open ‘Settings’
  • 2. Click ‘Privacy’
  • 3. Open ‘Camera’
  • 4. Turn on the button for YeeCall

【android】

The app doesn't have permission to access camera. Please allow access to the camera by the following steps:

  • 1. Go back to the mobile desktop.
  • 2. Open ‘Security Center’
  • 3. Open ‘Permission Management’
  • 4. Turn on the camera permission for YeeCall.

Cannot send images

【iOS】

The app doesn't have permission to access photos. Please allow access to the Photos by the following steps:

  • 1. Go back to the mobile desktop. Open ‘Settings’
  • 2. Click ‘Privacy’
  • 3. Open ‘Photo’
  • 4. Turn on the button for YeeCall

【android】

The app doesn't have permission to access albums. Please allow access to the albums by the following steps:

  • 1. Go back to the mobile desktop.
  • 2. Open ‘Security Center’
  • 3. Open ‘Permission Management’
  • 4. Allow YeeCall access to albums permission.

Cannot share location during the call

【iOS】

The app doesn't have permission to access location sharing. Please allow access to the location sharing by the following steps:

  • 1. Go back to the mobile desktop. Open ‘Settings’
  • 2. Click ‘Privacy’
  • 3. Open ‘Location Services’
  • 4. Turn on the button for YeeCall

【android】

The app doesn't have permission to access location services. Please allow access to the location services by the following steps:

  • 1. Go back to the mobile desktop.
  • 2. Open ‘Security Center’
  • 3. Open ‘Permission Management’
  • 4. Turn on the location services for YeeCall.

Cannot add/invite friends from the contact list

【iOS】

The app doesn't have permission to access contact. Please allow access to the contact by the following steps:

  • 1. Go back to the mobile desktop. Open ‘Settings’
  • 2. Click ‘Privacy’
  • 3. Open ‘Contacts’
  • 4. Turn on the button for YeeCall

【android】

The app doesn't have permission to access contact. Please allow access to the contact list by the following steps:

  • 1. Go back to the mobile desktop.
  • 2. Open ‘Security Center’
  • 3. Open ‘Permission Management’
  • 4. Turn on the permission for YeeCall.

Invite friends during group call

Click the top right button to invite friends join the group call. (You can invite the friends from the YeeCall contact list or via Facebook, whatsapp, wechat and QQ)

Add frequent contacts to the desktop (Only for Android)

  • 1. Select friend or friends you would like to add to desktop
  • 2. Go to the friend’s profile page and click ‘More’ in the top right button.
  • 3. Click ‘Add friend to the desktop’
  • *Customised Android systems which can disable desktop gadgets and shortcuts CANNOT use this function.
